TMJ Treatment
Using a simple, yet sophisticated dental appliance, we treat TMJ, or Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction, which is the destructive nocturnal clenching and/or grinding (bruxism) of the teeth. This can help avoid deterioration within the jaw joint and the pain that is often associated with it.
Advanced Lesion Detection
We use Plasma Arc Illumination to detect oral cancer and other pathology while these dreaded diseases are still in the early stages and are more readily treatable. Oral cancer is more deadly than cervical cancer, melanoma, etc., and early detection is the key to survival.
This technology will differentiate between healthy and diseased tissues in the mouth and throat through the fluorescent properties that each of these tissues exhibits when illuminated with the Plasma Arc light. We can reduce mortality rates from 80% at stage 4 cancers to 10% when caught at stage 1 with this modern health advance.
Additionally, the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is responsible for many oral cancers and can therefore strike the young as well as the elderly. We use this crucial technology on all our patients over the age of 16, with their informed consent, on an annual basis.
